Job summary

Partner company is seeking a Project Electrical Design Engineer based in the United States. This ground‑floor role lets you own building electrical design for renovation and new‑construction across multifamily, commercial, and historic adaptive reuse projects.

You’ll work with a Founder and Principal Engineer in a small, fast‑moving environment, with high autonomy and direct client exposure. The position is fully remote, open nationwide (MA/RI preferred), with a base salary of $120,000 and

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of professional electrical engineering experience focused on building/AEC electrical design.
• Will consider candidates willing to pursue PE licensure with company support.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, energy codes and life-safety requirements.
• Experience with load calculations, service sizing, panel schedules, construction documents, specifications and code reviews.
• Ability to carry design concepts through detailed engineering with minimal oversight.
• Experience coordinating remote drafting and modeling resources.
• Clear written and verbal communication with non-engineers.
• Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable in a remote, fast-moving environment.
• Authorized to work full-time in the United States; no visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for building renovation and new-construction projects from concepts to documents.
• Design and coordinate power distribution, lighting, fire alarm/life-safety, emergency power, and low-voltage systems.
• Perform load calculations, service sizing, and prepare panel schedules and specs.
• Prepare clear construction documents and technical deliverables with attention to constructability.
• Respond to RFIs, review submittals, and coordinate with architects, contractors, utilities, and authorities having jurisdiction.
• Manage remote drafting or modeling resources to support delivery.
• Take ownership of projects, identify needs, close items, and improve workflows.
