Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. seeks a Project Control Analyst to provide financial analysis and project control support for our government contracting programs. The role is remote with occasional travel and may be based in Huntsville, AL, or other U.S.

locations. You will prepare budgets, forecasts, and performance reports, support cost tracking, and coordinate with Finance and Contracts. Candidates should have 4+ years in project controls or FP&A, a Bachelor's degree, and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field.
• 4+ years experience in Project Control, FP&A, or accounting.
• Experience with government contracting.
• Familiar with Deltek CostPoint, Workday Adaptive Planning, Power BI, SMARTSHEETS.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform contract and program level performance analysis.
• Prepare and coordinate budgets, operation plans, forecasts, what-if scenarios, and capital allocation reports.
• Monitor funding, expenditures, commitments, and remaining balances; provide updates to Program Managers.
• Identify potential execution risks or variances from budget and communicate issues/actions with PM.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to identify trends and link outcomes to drivers.
• Provide time management reconciliation support and track subcontractor/vendor invoices.
