Job summary

Systems Technology & Research, Inc. (STaR) seeks a Project Control Analyst at our Huntsville, AL headquarters. You will manage day-to-day government contract financials, budgets, and invoicing, coordinating with PM, Contracts, Accounting, and Finance to keep projects funded and compliant.

The role emphasizes accuracy, multi-project prioritization, and proactive issue resolution, with responsibilities across labor, funding, and reporting. DoD clearance or ability to obtain is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5–8 years of project control, program finance, or government contracting experience.
• Experience supporting multiple government contract types (CPAF, CPFF, LOE, FPLOE, FFP, T&M, IDIQ, Task Orders).
• Unanet experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of FAR and JTR regulations.
• Active DoD SECRET clearance or ability to obtain.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Track funding at contract, task order, project, and CLIN/SLIN levels including labor, travel, materials, ODCs, and subcontractor costs.
• Monitor budgets, actuals, remaining hours, burn rates, and depletion dates; communicate risks to leadership.
• Create and maintain Unanet project data, including charge codes, LCats, and budgeted hours.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, cost reports, and other required deliverables.
• Prepare and coordinate IWAs to ensure proper project documentation.
• Review timesheets and labor reports for accuracy and suggest corrections.
• Analyze budget-to-actual performance and funding status.
• Review prime and subcontractor invoices against funding and contractual requirements.
