Job summary

Portland Community College seeks a Programmer Analyst II to troubleshoot complex data issues, design and implement reports and data extracts for diverse college needs. The role covers Academic Affairs and Student Affairs systems, with 95% remote work and occasional on-campus meetings.

Reporting to the Academic Systems Manager, you will support Workday reports, large database designs, and data analytics while collaborating across PCC teams.

Qualifications

• Experience developing Workday reports.
• Experience supporting & programming systems with large database designs.
• Experience with SQL.
• Experience with Higher Education.
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• Self-starter, can plan own work & manage time.
• Good oral and written communication skills for a variety of audiences.
• Problem solving and data analytics skills.
• Ability to translate user requirements into user accepted solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develops, modifies and maintains complex programs and reports for PCC data needs.
• Analyzes and plans systems based on PCC requirements and staff input.
• Designs and documents systems and data flows for university workflows.
• Develops databases, programs and procedures to integrate systems and ensure reliability.
• Documents systems for user departments in line with PCC standards.
• Assists users with implementation, training and troubleshooting of systems.
• Provides technical advice, ad-hoc reports, data corrections and vendor liaison as needed.
