Job summary

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Program Assistant for the National Virtual Program for Professional Advancement (NVPPA). This fully remote role supports Career Navigators by preparing disbursement requests, verifying documentation, and ensuring funds align with approved plans and ORR guidelines.

You will work with Finance and Operations, manage vendor records, maintain audit-ready files, and help resolve eligibility questions to keep participant requests on track while

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of demonstrated experience in a human services field, preferably nonprofit or social services.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to build rapport with clients by phone and video.
• Ability to deliver services remotely to clients across states and time zones, protect confidential information, and work independently in a virtual team.

Responsibilities

• Process direct financial assistance requests and prepare them for review.
• Initiate PR/PO or non-PO invoices for expense processing and ensure proper coding.
• Maintain audit-ready financial records and vendor documentation.
