Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Program Manager to coordinate delivery of application modernization, clinical informatics, and AI-enabled health IT projects for federal healthcare customers. You’ll partner with technical leads, SMEs, BA teams, QA, and stakeholders to translate priorities into actionable delivery plans and maintain delivery-ready backlogs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, informatics, or a related field; 8–12 years of experience (or commensurate).
• 5+ years of experience in technical project management or software delivery leadership.
• Experience coordinating multiple software development teams or complex technical projects.
• Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle, Agile delivery, and release management.
• Experience using project/backlog tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Manage project schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies, and delivery commitments.
• Coordinate work across development, testing, platform, and production support teams.
• Partner with Product Owners and Business Analysts to prepare requirements and maintain delivery-ready backlogs.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, cross-team planning, and release readiness reviews.
• Work with technical leads to identify impediments and resolve issues.
• Communicate project status, risks, and decisions to customer and internal leadership.
• Track delivery performance and support continuous improvement.
• Coordinate production issue resolution and follow-up work in plans.
• Coordinate integration, testing, release readiness, and deployment for AI-enabled clinical applications.
• Track workflow fit, user acceptance, adoption, and implementation issues with stakeholders.
