Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Program Manager to coordinate modernization, clinical informatics, and AI-enabled health IT initiatives for federal healthcare customers. You will lead delivery plans, manage schedules, risks, and releases, and work with product owners, analysts, QA, and stakeholders to drive adoption and measurable outcomes.

The role supports remote work, collaborates across teams, and requires a Public Trust clearance. Experience in SAFe, agile, and enterprise platforms is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, informatics, or related field.
• 8–12 years of experience, plus 5+ years in technical project management.
• Experience coordinating multiple software development teams.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile delivery, testing and release management.
• Effective communication with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Experience using Jira or Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Manage project schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies, and delivery commitments.
• Coordinate work across development, testing, platform, and production support teams.
• Prepare requirements with Product Owners and Business Analysts and maintain delivery-ready backlogs.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, cross-team planning, and release readiness reviews.
• Identify impediments and coordinate delivery options with technical leads.
• Communicate project status, risks, and decisions to leadership.
• Track delivery performance and support continuous improvement.
• Coordinate integration, testing, release readiness, and deployment for AI-enabled clinical applications.
• Collaborate with clinical SMEs, QA, and change-management teams to track adoption and issues.
