Job summary

GovCIO is seeking an experienced Program Manager to coordinate delivery of application modernization, clinical informatics, and AI-enabled health IT projects for federal healthcare customers. You will align priorities with technical leads, clinicians, and business analysts to produce delivery-ready plans and manage risks and releases.

You will partner with Product Owners and teams to ensure scheduling, testing, deployment, and user adoption activities are integrated into program delivery,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/informatics or related field with 8–12 years of experience.
• 5+ years in technical project management or software delivery leadership.
• Experience coordinating multiple software teams or complex technical projects.
• Working knowledge of SDLC, Agile delivery, integrations, testing, and release management.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Experience using project and backlog management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Manage project schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies, and delivery commitments.
• Coordinate work across development, testing, platform, and production support teams.
• Partner with Product Owners and Business Analysts to prepare requirements and maintain delivery-ready backlogs.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, cross-team planning, and release readiness reviews.
• Work with technical leads to identify impediments, evaluate delivery options, and resolve issues.
• Communicate project status, risks, and decisions to customer and internal leadership.
• Track delivery performance and support continuous improvement.
• Coordinate production issue resolution and incorporate follow-up work into project plans.
• Coordinate integration, testing, release readiness, and deployment activities for AI-enabled clinical applications, including Ambient AI Scribe, in partnership with technical and clinical leads.
• Partner with clinical subject matter experts, quality assurance, and change management teams to track workflow fit, user acceptance, adoption, and implementation issues.
