Job summary

LMI Government Consulting is seeking a Program and Events Coordinator to support the DoW SMART Scholarship-for-Service program. The role includes full lifecycle event planning, public speaking, and special projects, with telework options and occasional meetings at LMI Headquarters in Tysons Corner, VA.

Responsibilities include coordinating timelines, vendors, and attendees; on-site execution; post-event actions and reporting; plus researching STEM events and delivering university briefings.

Qualifications

• Bachelorachelors degree required with 3+ years of full lifecycle event coordination experience.
• Strong public speaking skills and ability to manage complex projects.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and collaboration apps.

Responsibilities

• Full Lifecycle Event Coordination and Execution (external and SMART hosted).
• Coordinate pre-event planning and logistics: timelines, vendors, venues, registration, attendee communications, materials, speaker requests.
• Manage on-site event execution with vendors, attendees, speakers, and internal stakeholders; troubleshoot and keep schedule.
• Post-event activities: breakdown, invoices, budget reconciliation, feedback, reporting, documentation, follow-up.
• Support research of STEM events and provide ROI-based recommendations; deliver information sessions to university partners and students.
