Job summary

STRIVE Houston seeks a results-oriented Program Director to lead the Career Path program, ensure its sustainability, and support participants in achieving self-sufficiency and upward mobility. The role includes managing a diverse team, fostering partnerships with community organizations, and driving data-driven program outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent professional and/or lived experience.
• Five (5) years’ experience in workforce development or sector-based training.
• Experience in or understanding of business development preferred.
• Strong management, leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent communication and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a diverse program team to achieve outcomes.
• Grow STRIVE Houston's presence in the workforce development community by cultivating partnerships.
• Develop and support leading the implementation of STRIVE Houston’s career pathway program.
• Develop partnerships with local organizations offering supportive services for participants.
• Research workforce data to inform sectoral pathways and identify training providers.
• Develop MOUs and contracts with partners and vendors.
• Maintain program flow-charts, manuals, systems and procedures.
• Innovate to meet evolving needs of target populations and staff.
• Manage invoicing, data collection, and program reporting.

Education
