Job summary

Governors Action Alliance (GovAct) seeks a savvy Program Associate to support GSD with administrative, operational, and project tasks. The role reports to the Managing Director and focuses on efficient, confidential support across calendars, travel, meetings, and communications.

This remote position offers potential hybrid work in DC or SF Bay Area with some travel, requiring strong organizational judgment and a detail-oriented mindset to advance Governors’ collaborative democracy initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in nonprofits/government/policy or related field beneficial.
• Strong organizational skills and discretion in sensitive matters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work fast-paced.
• Comfortable in a remote, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level administrative support, manage calendars and meetings.
• Prepare for meetings: agendas, background docs, logistics, notes.
• Draft communications and weekly newsletters for GSD; manage emails.
• Support projects and events, assist with outreach and reporting.
