Datavant is seeking a Profee Auditing Specialist to lead professional fee coding audits and provide clear rationale for coding changes, while staying current with regulatory requirements. The role emphasizes education for coders and adherence to AHIMA's ethics in a fully remote setting.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in professional fee coding and/or auditing, with CPC certification (CPMA preferred) and experience with Epic/Cerner EMRs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Professional Fee coding and/or auditing.
• CPC certification required.
• CPMA certification preferred.
• Maintain 95% accuracy rate.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, and other prevalent EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Performs professional fee coding audits of medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Provides concise rationale with documentation references for changes.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases to ensure workflow and resolution.
• Educates coders through the auditing process.
• Adheres to AHIMA's code of ethics.
• Demonstrates professionalism, flexibility, and commitment to excellence and the profession.
• Shows strong organizational, teamwork, and leadership skills.
