Datavant is seeking a Profee Auditing Specialist to conduct professional fee coding audits and provide clear rationales with documentation references. This fully remote role with a flexible schedule supports 20 hours per week, primarily working during normal business hours.

CPC is required, CPMA preferred, and Epic/Cerner EMR experience is expected. Ideal candidates will maintain a 95% accuracy rate, stay current with regulatory coding changes, and educate coders through the audit process while

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional fee coding and/or auditing experience.
• CPC certification required; CPMA preferred.
• Maintain 95% accuracy rate in coding/auditing tasks.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, and other EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs professional fee coding audits of medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Provides concise rationale with references and locations in documentation.
• Keeps up to date with regulatory changes affecting coding.
• Organizes multiple cases concurrently to maintain workflow.
• Provides coder education through the auditing process.
• Maintains professional, efficient, and positive conduct.
• Adheres to AHIMA's code of ethics.
• Demonstrates customer-focused professionalism, flexibility and dependability.
• Exhibits high complexity in decision making and strong teamwork.
