Datavant is seeking a Profee Auditing & Education Specialist to address coding quality, compliance assessments, external payer reviews, coding education, interim coding management, and coding workflow operations reviews. This role is fully remote with a flexible schedule, enabling you to shape the future of healthcare from your own workspace!

You will perform professional fee coding audits, develop training materials, and collaborate with leadership to deliver comprehensive coder education

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Professional Fee coding and/or auditing, with majority in auditing.
• 3+ years of Professional Fee education creation and presentation.
• Multi-Specialty coding/auditing experience.
• Must hold CPC credential.
• CPMA preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote).
• Maintain 95% accuracy in coding/auditing.

Responsibilities

• Performs professional fee coding audits of medical records and abstracts using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Provides rationale with references and documentation locations for any changes.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases concurrently to maintain workflow.
• Develops and delivers virtual coder education programs (webinars, presentations, training materials).
• Identifies coding trends and gaps and creates targeted educational content.
• Collaborates with leadership and clients to create educational materials and tools.
• Serves as a subject matter expert by presenting coding topics to coders and providers.
