Qualifications

• AHIMA certified credentials required (RHIA, RHIT, CCS) or AAPC certified credentials (CPC, CPC-H, COC, CIC or CRC).
• Experience in a process-driven, high-volume coding environment.
• Strong knowledge of CPT II codes.
• Adeptness in remote work and effective time management.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign precise codes for accurate coding.
• Conduct data quality reviews for compliance with guidelines.
• Communicate professionally regarding clinical and reimbursement issues.
• Identify documentation improvement opportunities and coding issues.

Skills
