Datavant is a remote-friendly company that seeks a Profee Auditing Specialist to perform detailed coding audits and issue clear rationales for changes. The role supports education and regulatory alignment and requires strong organizational skills and teamwork.

The position offers a fully remote schedule, with a preference for 20 hours per week, and a base pay range of $35–$45 per hour, reflecting experience and responsibilities in professional fee coding and auditing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Professional Fee coding and/or auditing.
• Maintain 95% accuracy rate.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, and other EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Performs Professional Fee coding audits of medical records and abstracts using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Provides rationales with references and documentation locations for changes.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes and ensures workflow efficiency.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases concurrently.
• Provides coder education via the auditing process.
• Adhere to AHIMA’s code of ethics.
