Placements24 is seeking a Production Systems Engineer for a fully remote role supporting East London operations from the United States. You will design, analyze, and improve production systems to boost efficiency, throughput, and cost performance using data analytics and simulation.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering, 4+ years in production engineering or manufacturing systems, and hands-on experience with simulation tools (AnyLogic, Arena) and lean methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in production engineering, process improvement, or manufacturing systems.
• Strong knowledge of production systems, manufacturing operations, and lean methodologies.
• Proficiency in simulation software and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current production systems to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Design and implement optimized production processes, workflows, and layouts using industrial engineering principles.
• Utilize simulation and modeling tools to test process changes and predict performance outcomes before implementation.
• Develop and maintain performance metrics and KPIs for production systems, tracking efficiency, throughput, and cost.
• Collaborate remotely with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure seamless integration of new systems and processes.
• Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend and implement corrective actions.
