Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a Systems Engineer II to join the Production Services team. This role focuses on engineering and maintaining production system environments, including thousands of servers and virtual machines.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in engineering in production, and experience with OpenStack, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling. Remote-friendly role with cross-functional collaboration and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

US Citizen or Green Card holder.
Experience with OpenStack, MaaS, or similar bare metal provisioning tools.
Experience with Linux engineering and administration for thousands of bare metal and virtual machines.
Experience with deployment and management of container orchestration services (Kubernetes).
Experience with virtualization technologies (OpenStack Nova, VMware ESXi).
Experience with CI/CD systems such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins.
Experience with configuration management like Chef, Ansible, Salt.
3+ years of engineering experience in a production role.
Experience writing technical documentation.

Responsibilities

Understand complex technical systems architecture and recommend improvements.
Maintain Linux-based production environments across thousands of servers and VMs.
Troubleshoot server hardware issues in large deployments.
Support large-scale deployments inside internal data centers.
Develop automation scripts and tooling (Python, Perl, PHP, JS, Go).
Participate in on-call rotations with the team.
