Job summary

QB Energy is seeking a Production Engineering Consultant to connect well deliverability to a gas gathering network across ~4,000 wells. The contractor will build integrated production models linking IPR/VLP behavior to gathering line pressure and provide economic justification for capital projects.

The position is a defined-scope contract, with hands-on nodal analysis, network modeling, and calibration against field data.

Qualifications

• BS in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical engineering required.
• 10+ years in oil and gas production operation, with emphasis on natural gas.
• Experience in coupling well deliverability to large-scale models.

Responsibilities

• Build per-well and well-group deliverability-vs-line-pressure relationships.
• Couple deliverability curves to the line-pressure model for realistic inflow.
• Run field-scale line-pressure sensitivities and quantify production impact.
• Develop a defensible well-grouping scheme for ~4,000 wells.
• Provide technical and economic input for gathering and compression investments.
• Calibrate models against data and document methods.
