Job summary

Vitaver & Associates, Inc is seeking a Pipeline Facilities Engineer for a remote, 12+ month project in the natural gas sector. The role requires lead engineering oversight for metering, regulating stations, and hub connections across interstate systems.

Travel to JB, project site and contractor offices will be required. The candidate will ensure compliance with PHMSA, ASME B31.8 and API standards, manage third-party firms, and support FAT/SAT, commissioning, and startup activities for greenfield

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in natural gas pipeline facilities engineering.
• Experience with transmission facilities, metering, stations, pipeline interconnects, valve assemblies, pig launcher/receiver, custody transfer systems, pressure regulation and telemetry.
• Proficiency with ASME B31.8, API standards, PHMSA regulations and related automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead and owner's engineering representative for planning, design, and commissioning of natural gas metering and regulating facilities.
• Lead engineering support for developing a natural gas hub connecting multiple pipeline systems and evaluate operating pressures and hydraulics.
• Provide oversight for custody transfer metering, pressure regulating stations, gas filtration and overpressure protection.
• Oversee design of valve assemblies, pig facilities, and blowdown systems to ensure pipeline integrity.
• Provide oversight for telemetry/SCADA integration and RTU/PLC-based control systems.
• Review and approve multidisciplinary deliverables from third-party firms and EPC contractors.
• Support construction planning, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and startup activities while ensuring PHMSA/ASME/API compliance.
