Job summary

Pollardwater, a division of Ferguson Waterworks, is seeking a Product Specialist who will serve as the primary technical resource for designated product categories, including chemical feed and laboratory equipment. The role supports sales teams, delivers trainings, and manages product data across sites.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in MRO, utility, waterworks, industrial tools, safety equipment, wastewater treatment, or closely related industries.
• Experience with chemical feed systems, laboratory equipment, water treatment processes, or wastewater treatment operations preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude to understand product applications, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot technical product issues and communicate solutions effectively.
• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and multiple software platforms; basic Excel data handling (sorting, filtering).
• Demonstrated relationship-building, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel 10–15% for trade shows, training events, and industry meetings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical resource for designated product categories: chemical feed and laboratory equipment.
• Respond to daily technical inquiries from customers, sales associates, and vendors.
• Handle all documentation related to meetings, projects, schedules, data requests, and assigned initiatives.
• Provide training to internal and external customers on operation, application, theory, and troubleshooting of products.
• Assist in developing detailed project schedules and coordinating activities across multiple project sites.
• Partner with outside sales teams to drive product adoption and support customer needs.
