Job summary

Mind Computing, Inc. is seeking a fulltime, 100% remote Product Owner / Business Analyst to support a VA project.

You will bridge business stakeholders and Agile teams, translate federal requirements into product direction, and manage backlogs with a focus on healthcare workflows, EDI, interoperability, and security. The ideal candidate will work remotely within the continental US, lead backlog refinement, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and accessibility standards while coordinating with

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Business or related field
8+ years of professional analyst experience
Experience as Product Owner or Business Analyst in Agile environments
Strong SAFe knowledge, backlog management, user stories, refinement, sprint planning
Experience with EDI transactions in large enterprise workflows
Knowledge of HIPAA, security controls, and accessibility requirements (Section 508)

Responsibilities

Establish and maintain a product vision and roadmap aligned with federal requirements
Translate federal healthcare priorities and modernization initiatives into backlog items
Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, data governance, and interoperability standards
Own and prioritize the product backlog based on value, compliance, and stakeholder priorities
Develop detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for complex workflows (referrals, scheduling, EDI)
Ensure items meet Definition of Ready and Done, including security/accessibility considerations
Serve as liaison between business owners, SMEs, clinical stakeholders, and delivery teams
Coordinate with teams on releases, testing, and documentation
Ensure HIPAA and 508 compliance and security controls are met
Coordinate with related products and interoperability standards
