Job summary

Chess.com is seeking a product-focused engineer to own the Dr. Wolf learning experience end-to-end. You will plan features, gather user feedback, prioritize work, and converse directly with learners to improve how they learn chess.

You’ll ship your own code for iOS and Android, using agentic AI coding tools as the primary development environment, and you’ll shape what makes Dr. Wolf more effective for learners worldwide.

Qualifications

• Experience building apps or websites and shipping to real users.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and practical implementation.
• Genuine connection to chess and chess education, with a teaching mindset.
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to own projects independently.
• Curiosity, perseverance, and ability to learn by doing.

Responsibilities

• Own the product end-to-end: plan features, review feedback, prioritize, and talk to learners.
• Ship your own code for iOS and Android, using agentic AI coding tools as the primary development environment.
• Use AI as a creative and execution multiplier to prototype ideas quickly.
• Design what’s next by using data, feedback, and judgment to improve Dr. Wolf’s learning experience.
• Stay close to users by talking to learners and teachers to understand pain points and requests.
• Run the business side: track metrics and ensure healthy product growth.
