Job summary

NASDA seeks a NASS Program role to increase awareness of NASS surveys among producers, agricultural organizations, and the broader industry. Remote position, but candidates must reside in Arkansas; reporting to the Associate Director, Producer Engagement.

You will develop and execute engagement strategies, build stakeholder relationships, and measure outcomes to support NASS data collection efforts in Arkansas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in agriculture, communications, or public affairs.
• At least 5 years in agricultural communications or stakeholder engagement.
• Understanding of U.S. agriculture; familiarity with USDA NASS surveys preferred.
• Experience building relationships with agricultural organizations and government agencies.
• Experience developing outreach strategies with measurable outcomes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong public speaking.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to travel regularly.
• Experience with email marketing (Mailchimp) and newsletters.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Currently reside in Arkansas.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute producer engagement strategy for NASS surveys.
• Lead state-specific engagement plans with stakeholders.
• Track performance metrics to evaluate engagement and survey promotion.
• Maintain relationships with state departments and producer groups.
• Identify opportunities to leverage networks to raise awareness.
• Represent NASDA at events in-person and virtual.
• Analyze response-rate trends to identify improvements.
• Develop and share communication materials as needed.
