Job summary

NASDA - National Association of State Departments of Agriculture seeks a qualified professional for the NASS program to drive producer engagement and awareness of NASS surveys among producers and agricultural organizations.

You will build stakeholder relationships, develop engagement plans, track metrics, and promote data collection efforts from North Dakota while working remotely with ND residency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in agriculture, communications, public affairs required.
• Minimum of 5 years in agricultural communications, stakeholder engagement, membership outreach, public affairs, producer relations, or related field.
• Familiarity with USDA NASS surveys, agricultural data collection, or producer outreach programs is preferred.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with agricultural organizations, government agencies, industry associations, Extension services, commodity groups, or producer organizations.
• Experience developing and implementing outreach, engagement, or communications strategies with measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Producer Engagement team to develop and execute NASDA's producer engagement strategy focused on increasing awareness of and participation in NASS surveys.
• Lead state-specific engagement plans leveraging trusted agricultural stakeholders to increase producer response rates.
• Track performance metrics to evaluate engagement activities and survey promotion efforts.
• Maintain relationships with state departments of agriculture, commodity organizations, Extension services, producer groups, and other stakeholders.
• Represent NASDA at in-person and virtual events within designated state or region.
• Analyze response-rate trends and engagement data to identify opportunities and improvements.
• Develop and share communication materials as needed.
