Job summary

Fortive is seeking a Procurement Specialist for its Global Procurement team within Fluke Health Solutions. This role focuses on tactical and mid-level strategic commodity plans, driving cost reductions, on-time delivery, and supplier risk management.

Cross-functional collaboration with engineering, PM, and R&D is required to source BOMs and ensure supply for launches. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in supply chain, strong ERP/MRP system knowledge, and proven negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 3+ years of work experience in supply chain, procurement and inventory management.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and BOM understandings.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with data-driven decision making.
• Supplier negotiation and relationship management experience.
• Willingness to travel to vendor locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for supply chain to support business objectives.
• Build partnerships with suppliers and drive year-over-year improvements.
• Support RFQ activities and supplier quotations.
• Qualify and onboard suppliers, manage change with FPQP processes.
• Drive supply base to meet market launch dates at best cost.
• Consolidate supplier base through competitive bids.
• Lead projects with robust updates and status reporting.
• Coordinate supplier audits for regulatory compliance.
• Mitigate unfavorable purchase price variances and track countermeasures.
• Conduct supply chain risk reviews and manage transitions with design teams.
• Manage POs and resolve invoice discrepancies for direct materials.
• Evaluate supplier cost increase requests and support cost mitigation.
• Assist in contractual arrangements and stocking agreements.
• Coordinate readiness activities for new product introductions.
• Respond swiftly to demand surges and ensure supply continuity.
• Maintain PO records, pricing info, and supplier data in systems.
