Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Procurement Specialist/Senior Procurement Specialist to manage procurement of products and services across business units. The role emphasizes supplier relationship management, cost savings, and process optimization while supporting 24/7 outage work and complex projects.

Ideal candidates will have relevant degrees and multiple years of related experience, with ability to work remotely within a Duke Energy footprint state and occasionally travel to internal sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years related work experience OR
• Associate’s degree with 4 years related work experience OR
• High School/GED with 6 years related work experience

Responsibilities

• Provide proficient procurement services including expediting, invoicing, pricing, inventory, and logistics to support business unit requirements.
• Guide the business unit on procurement processes, sourcing options, and materials management strategies.
• Monitor supplier relationships and ensure compliance with supplier agreements to realize cost savings and inventory reductions.
• Support 24/7 outage schedules and After Hours workload as part of the procurement team.
• Serve as Single Point of Contact for procurement processes at Business Unit level and liaise with suppliers.
