Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation seeks a Procurement Specialist/Senior Procurement Specialist to manage procurement of products and services aligning with Business Unit requirements. The role involves expediting, contract and PO management, supplier relations, and compliance with laws and Duke Energy standards.

Responsibilities include supporting 24/7 outage schedules, leading projects, mentoring staff, and acting as Single Point of Contact for procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree + 2 years related work experience or equivalent
• Associate’s degree + 4 years related work experience or equivalent
• High School/GED degree + 6 years related work experience or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Provide proficient procurement services (expediting, PO/contract management, invoice mismatch resolution).
• Support supplier relationships and compliance with supplier agreements to realize value-added services.
• Lead and participate in procurement processes, sourcing options, and materials management strategies.
• Monitor supplier performance and manage daily/monthly/quarterly reports.
• Serve as a liaison between external suppliers and the Business Unit.
• Act as a subject matter expert on procurement processes and participate in special projects or teams as required.
