Job summary

Humana, Inc. is seeking a Procurement Lead to drive strategic sourcing and category management across the organization. You will lead outsourcing initiatives, develop multi-year strategies, and partner with senior leaders to deliver measurable value and optimized spend.

The role requires strong financial analysis, executive presence, and experience shaping commercial models. Occasional travel may be required in a remote role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, supply chain, supplier management, contracting, or a related field.
• 3+ years experience leading end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives, including RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, supplier evaluations, and negotiations.
• Experience drafting, negotiating and executing complex contracts with Legal, Finance, Risk and business stakeholders.
• Experience sourcing complex services and leading outsourcing or managed-services category strategies; experience with professional services, technology, or other enterprise-level categories is also valued.
• Experience developing and executing multi-year category and sourcing strategies using spend analysis, market intelligence, supplier benchmarking, and financial analysis.
• Strong financial and analytical capabilities, including experience using data to build business cases, scenario analyses, cost models, forecasts, total-cost-of-ownership assessments, and executive-level recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex outsourcing and strategic sourcing initiatives from opportunity assessment through negotiation, contracting, and value realization.
• Develop multi-year category and sourcing strategies using spend data, market intelligence, and supplier benchmarking.
• Design and lead end-to-end RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs with evaluation, negotiation, and contracting.
• Influence senior leadership by presenting clear business cases and strategic recommendations.
• Build fact-based analyses enabling leaders to evaluate trade-offs and inform decisions.
• Shape outsourcing and managed-services commercial models to align supplier economics with outcomes.
• Draft, negotiate, and execute contracts with stakeholders to establish sound terms and governance.
• Evaluate and manage strategic suppliers, establishing governance and performance mechanisms.
• Advance supplier diversity, sustainability, and responsible sourcing within strategies.
