Job summary

The Newberry Group seeks a Process Improvement Manager to lead initiatives that boost operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and drive continuous improvement across public-sector clients. This role supports high-impact projects by identifying inefficiencies, coordinating cross-agency collaboration, and implementing best practices aligned with client missions.

The position emphasizes Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methods, development of SOPs and dashboards, and mentoring teams in process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• 5+ years in process improvement, operations management, or organizational development.
• Experience leading cross-functional improvement projects in large or complex organizations.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen methodologies.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to analyze complex systems and translate findings into recommendations.
• Experience with federal agencies or mission-driven environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead process improvement initiatives by analyzing current-state operations and designing future-state workflows.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration with program managers, analysts, IT, and field staff.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to drive measurable efficiency and compliance gains.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, process maps, and dashboards.
• Support change management by training stakeholders and ensuring adoption of new practices.
• Monitor process performance using KPIs and data analytics for continuous improvement.
• Mentor teams on process improvement tools and techniques.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and data governance throughout redesigns.
