Job summary

AMG & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Process Consultant for a full-time contract role in a hybrid/remote setup. You will evaluate business processes, design improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity.

The candidate will map current and future-state processes, identify bottlenecks, and develop practical SOPs and guidelines. Strong analytical and communication skills, plus experience with Lean/Six Sigma or BPM, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3+ years of process consulting, business analysis, operations, or related experience.
• Strong ability to analyze processes, map workflows, and drive improvements.
• Experience documenting SOPs, process docs, and guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong stakeholder facilitation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Conduct assessments, interviews, workshops, and discussions to capture requirements.
• Document current and future-state processes using maps and diagrams.
• Identify bottlenecks, gaps, and costs; propose automation where applicable.
• Develop recommendations aligned with business priorities and objectives.
• Collaborate with leaders, operations, tech groups, and SMEs to design solutions.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, process docs, and workflow specs.
• Support process redesign, optimization, standardization, and transformation initiatives.
• Evaluate impact of changes on people, systems, costs, and performance.
• Establish KPIs and reporting to measure improvements.
• Lead workshops and requirements gathering; support change management.
• Assist with implementation and adoption of approved improvements.
• Monitor performance post-implementation and suggest additional improvements.
• Identify opportunities to leverage tech, automation, and digital tools.
• Ensure redesigned processes comply with policies and controls.
