Job summary

Ben Aris LLC is seeking a Corporate Process Controls Engineer to support multiple chemical sites across the U.S., working fully remotely. The role focuses on standardization, modernization, and reliable automation, with emphasis on cybersecurity and lifecycle management.

You will lead DCS/PLC/SIS projects, develop standards, mentor site teams, and collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, EHS, IT, and Engineering. Travel about 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Controls engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with process controls in chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas or similar industries.
• Proficiency with DCS/PLC platforms and troubleshooting.
• Willing to travel up to 20% and support multiple sites remotely.

Responsibilities

• Serve as corporate expert for DCS, PLC, SIS, and APC systems.
• Develop and roll out corporate automation standards.
• Lead control system upgrades and modernization initiatives.
• Support site engineers with troubleshooting and tuning.
• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, EHS, IT, and Engineering.
• Drive cybersecurity and automation lifecycle management.
• Mentor site controls personnel.
