Job summary

Savista is seeking a Coding Specialist II - Profee Pediatric General Surgery Coder to work remotely in the USA. You will review clinical documentation to assign ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for hospital and physician billing, ensuring accurate coding and regulatory compliance.

Candidates should have AHIMA or AAPC credentials and at least two years of hands-on coding experience, with strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS, and HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential required.
• Two years of recent coding experience.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS code sets.
• Ability to code at 95% quality.
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel).
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for designated patient types across hospital/clinic/pro- fee settings.
• Review facility records to ensure APC/E&M codes reflect documented diagnoses/procedures.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses and discharge disposition.
• Assist client staff for data integrity and compliant coding practices.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and participate in meetings/trainings.
• Keep current knowledge of coding guidelines and third-party requirements.
