Job summary

SCAN Group seeks a Privacy Manager to lead the enterprise privacy program across health plans and affiliated entities. You will translate privacy requirements into practical controls and collaborate with Legal, IT, and Operations to protect member privacy and enable responsible innovation.

Responsibilities include privacy risk assessments, policy implementation, incident response, privacy by design, and AI governance. The role offers mostly remote work and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in healthcare admin, law, business or related field.
• 5+ years in privacy/compliance or related field with HIPAA knowledge.
• Experience implementing privacy controls and conducting investigations.
• Experience with privacy-by-design and emerging AI/privacy requirements.
• Professional privacy credentials preferred.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Ability to translate legal/technical requirements into operational controls.
• Experience with incident response and regulatory inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Privacy program operations for health plans and entities.
• Perform and coordinate privacy risk assessments, audits, and gap analyses.
• Draft and implement privacy policies and notices.
• Coordinate monitoring, metrics, and dashboards for leadership.
• Advise teams to embed privacy in projects and systems.
• Manage privacy incidents and regulatory responses.
• Assist with AI privacy reviews and governance.
• Deliver role-based privacy training.
• Oversee data minimization, retention, and individual rights.
• Support vendor privacy reviews and data sharing.
• Support SCAN's AI governance and culture.
• Other duties as assigned.
