Job summary

Netflix is seeking a Privacy Software Engineer for the Ads Identity and Audiences team to safeguard member privacy across the Netflix Ads Suite. You will design and implement privacy-preserving technologies that respect consumer choices and comply with regional regulations.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, apply Privacy by Design, data minimization and encryption, and handle large-scale data processing with Spark in a cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Experience designing privacy features for ad platforms with data protection and compliance.
• Strong understanding of data privacy, governance, and security concepts including Privacy by Design.
• Experience with data minimization, encryption, and deidentification techniques.
• Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and CPRA regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, C++, or similar languages with OO design patterns.
• Experience building distributed cloud-based applications and high-throughput, low-latency systems.
• Familiarity with ad tech, programmatic advertising, and digital marketing trends.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
