Job summary

Netflix seeks a Director of Privacy Legal for its global advertising business. You will advise on privacy law, programmatic and data sharing, and consent mechanics, partnering with engineering and product teams from ideation through launch.

You will negotiate terms with vendors, align with global privacy standards, and help scale privacy reviews as UCAN ads grow, while training stakeholders across Ads, Product and Measurement.

Qualifications

J.D. and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state.
10+ years of combined law firm and in-house experience in technology, media, or ad tech.
Experience advising on advertising and marketing issues, including programmatic/DSP-SSP ecosystems.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary privacy legal advisor to Netflix's global advertising organization.
Advise on U.S. state privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA, COPPA, VPPA, TCPA) and EU GDPR.
Negotiate privacy and data protection terms in ad tech and measurement agreements.
Advise on consent management, opt-out/opt-in mechanisms, and data pseudonymization.
Train and mentor Ads, Product, and Measurement teams on privacy requirements.
Build scalable privacy review processes to support UCAN ads growth.
