Job summary

Actalent is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to work remotely on Medicare/Medicaid prior authorizations within the MedPharm environment. You will intake PA cases, perform technical review, and determine coverage with HIPAA-compliant processes.

Responsibilities include interpreting criteria, assisting with customer calls, and ensuring accurate data entry. The role is contract-to-hire with a fully remote setup and standard EST hours.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician certification required.
• Experience with data entry and managed care environments preferred.
• Handling prior authorizations and PA review processes.
• Strong customer service skills for phone interactions.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Handle intake of MedPharm prior authorizations and set up in system.
• Review PA cases to determine coverage and approve/deny medications.
• Read criteria, SOPs, and insurance documents to inform decisions.
• Provide excellent customer service over the phone and manage conversations.
