Job summary

Blue River Technology seeks a Principal Site Reliability Engineer for the Platform team to scale Kubernetes-based services and backend Golang systems enabling autonomous platforms. Drive reliability, observability, and cross-team collaboration to deliver robust automation and growth.

You will mentor engineers, shape platform direction, and enhance on-call incident response, security, and performance monitoring in a remote-friendly US setting.

Responsibilities

• Architect, scale, and own essential infrastructure.
• Build and maintain a Kubernetes-based platform for multiple teams.
• Partner with product teams to launch new platform products.
• Grow high availability infra while maintaining uptime metrics.
• Build tooling to support the platform and dev teams.
• Perform end-to-end performance analysis and implement robust solutions.
• Work with cloud vendors and external support for upgrades and incident resolution.
• Participate in on-call rotation with root-cause analyses and postmortems.
• Design observability infra, dashboards, alerts, and log aggregation.
• Collaborate with security to conduct risk assessments and mitigation.
• Manage payment processes for SaaS services with IT/purchasing teams.
