Job summary

Group 1001 is seeking a Senior Network Reliability Engineer to build a Site Reliability Engineering practice for the network, spanning edge to Kubernetes pod boundary. You will define SLOs, implement policy as code, and automate network operations in a DevSecOps framework across multi-cloud environments.

You will collaborate with Cloud and Data Platforms, NOC/SOC, and Cyber Security teams to scale reliability and reduce toil while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPNs, and SD-WAN architecture.
• Proven experience with Terraform and Ansible in production environments.
• Experience with security platforms and observability tooling is required or strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define SLOs and error budgets for the network platform and gate changes accordingly.
• Move network state into code using IaC and declarative configurations.
• Build network policy as intent and implement it via policy engines and per‑vendor config.
• Design, deploy, and manage network infrastructure with Terraform or Ansible.
• Extend platform thinking into Kubernetes networking and service mesh contexts.
• Improve telemetry and observability with structured alerts and runbooks.
