Job summary

Rocket Software is seeking a Senior Customer Solutions Engineer for remote work in the United States. The role focuses on mainframe modernization, delivering technical solutions, and guiding customers through digital transformation initiatives.

Ideal candidates will have extensive experience across COBOL, CICS, and DB2, with strong communication and leadership skills to drive project success and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of relevant technical experience.
• Excellent communication / customer service skills / confident telephone manner.
• Proactive and able to work under pressure.
• Experience in complex IT project implementations, customizations and/or maintenance.
• Analytical mindset to analyse test results and facilitate defect resolution.
• Organized and methodical with multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to customers (75%).
• Lead a team and communicate project status and risks to stakeholders.
• Give customer sound technical advice and understand architecture, versions, and requirements.
• Estimate technical resource requirements and coordinate with PM.
• Conduct code reviews and participate in deployments.
