Job summary

Maximus is seeking a senior solution architect to design scalable government IT solutions and lead cross-functional teams through complex initiatives. You will translate client needs into viable architectures, mentor junior staff, and contribute to RFIs, RFPs and RFQs with robust technical content.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 10-12 years of relevant professional experience required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Deep understanding of government IT landscape and compliance requirements.
• Experience with estimation techniques and competitive solution development.
• Expertise in one or more technology domains (cloud, cybersecurity, AI/ML, etc.).
• Knowledge of security standards, compliance frameworks, and risk management.
• Experience with government proposal processes and competitive analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with executive presentation experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances.
• US Citizenship required for program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, extensible solutions that enable a scalable, extensible architecture.
• Develop and present technology solutions to internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve open source projects across multiple technologies.
• Engage with stakeholders to architect and implement technical solutions.
• Lead solution components and contribute to major initiatives with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor junior architects and provide guidance across teams.
• Support proposal processes with technology stacks and implementation methodology.
• Translate client requirements into viable solution elements and architecture views.
