Job summary

Jobgether seeks a Principal Security Engineer to provide advanced security engineering for federal cloud environments. The role focuses on FedRAMP, NIST, and agency requirements, with remote work from the United States.

You will engage CSPs and government stakeholders, assess risks, and guide compliance through architecture reviews and security controls. The ideal candidate has at least five years in IT security, deep FedRAMP experience, and strong communication skills to brief CISOs and program

Qualifications

• Five+ years of IT security experience.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Math/Engineering or 3 years of relevant IT experience in lieu.
• Direct FedRAMP/3PAO or federal agency experience.
• Four+ years as a System Architect or Security Engineer.
• Four+ years supporting FedRAMP as Engineer/Architect.
• Active security certification (Security+, CISSP, CISM, CISA) or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of NIST, RMF, FISMA and security best practices.
• Proven ability to lead technical meetings with vendors/CSPs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• US work authorization and ability to obtain Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Conduct architecture reviews across vendor technology stacks.
• Evaluate CSP authorization packages for FedRAMP alignment.
• Lead CSP architecture interviews to validate security controls.
• Prepare briefing docs for program managers and CISOs.
• Review FedRAMP docs and risk acceptance materials.
• Collaborate with CSPs to fix documentation gaps.
• Review post-audit packages and prepare leadership briefs.
• Provide security engineering support to FedRAMP leadership.
• Support continuous monitoring and change proposals.
• Interpret FedRAMP guidance for vendors.
