Job summary

Prellis Biologics, based in Berkeley, CA, seeks an experienced Principal Scientist - Therapeutic Antibody Characterization to lead analytical work on mAbs, bispecifics, and Fc-fusion proteins. You will apply biochemical and biophysical methods to assess quality, developability, stability, and structure while partnering with Discovery, Engineering, and CMC teams.

Qualifications

Ph.D. or M.S. in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related discipline.
3+ years of industry experience in analytical characterization of therapeutic antibodies or biologics.
Hands-on experience with protein characterization techniques (Tm, Tagg, AC-SINS, HIC, cIEF, aSEC, BVP).
Ability to design experiments, analyze data, and communicate findings effectively.
Strong organizational and written communication skills; collaborative work style.

Responsibilities

Lead analytical characterization of monoclonal and bispecific antibodies and other biologics.
Perform biophysical and developability assessments using specified techniques.
Generate and interpret data to support lead candidate selection and development.
Design, execute, troubleshoot, and optimize analytical methods.
Prepare technical reports and present findings to cross-functional teams.
Collaborate with Antibody Discovery, Protein Engineering, and CMC teams.
Maintain accurate lab documentation and ensure safety/quality compliance.
