The principal Airborne LiDAR Systems Engineer role focuses on leading embedded software design for airborne LiDAR and imaging systems that operate in demanding environments. Based remotely in the United States, you will collaborate across hardware and software teams, mentor engineers, and contribute to diagnostics, validation, and overall product quality from concept to deployment.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 3 years working with embedded systems or hardware-integrated software.

Responsabilités

• Lead design and development of embedded software architectures for airborne LiDAR and imaging systems
• Integrate software with hardware subsystems including lasers and GNSS/INS systems
• Develop user-friendly operator and maintenance interfaces
• Create automated diagnostic and fault reporting capabilities
• Develop software validation and verification methodologies for rigorous testing
• Establish software development standards and mentor the engineering team
