Job summary

GeoSearch is seeking a Director of Remote Sensing to lead multidisciplinary teams across LiDAR and imagery programs in the United States. This senior role oversees staffing, workflows, and delivery from collection to final products, with travel for field activities. In-office position with comprehensive benefits.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in LiDAR/remote sensing, strong leadership, and a background in airborne, mobile, terrestrial, and UAS LiDAR workflows, plus familiarity with GIS tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Geomatics, Surveying, GIS, Remote Sensing, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in LiDAR/remote sensing or geospatial field with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead department operations including staffing, capacity, equipment, and project delivery.
• Oversee LiDAR and imagery acquisition from collection through final deliverables.
• Develop and maintain QA/QC standards, workflows, and SOPs.
• Mentor staff and build bench strength in technical leaders.
• Drive automation and process improvements for efficiency and quality.
• Manage equipment planning and evaluate new tools.
