Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Principal, IT Strategy & Operations Manager to shape IT strategy in partnership with Technology VPs, Finance, and business leaders, translating technology investments into measurable business value.

You will own cloud program budgeting, forecasting, governance, and executive reporting while leading cross-functional initiatives to drive efficiency and value. This remote role supports AI-enabled optimization and strategic cost management across the organization.

Qualifications

12+ years of experience in IT strategy, technology finance, operations, or related fields.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Technology, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Strong financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, accruals, variance analysis, business cases, capital and expense management.

Responsibilities

Define transformation priorities, roadmaps, and investment choices with VPs.
Identify AI, automation, analytics, and process-improvement opportunities to boost productivity.
Manage cloud program budgets, forecasts, milestones, funding requests, and actuals; align with Transformation Office.
Coordinate professional-services funding requests and governance reviews; oversee procurement and forecasts.
Maintain dashboards, scorecards, leadership decks, and portfolio reporting.
Lead cross-functional follow-through on priorities, risks, dependencies, actions, and controls.
