OpenAI, Inc. is seeking a Principal Security Engineer to join the Infrastructure Security (InfraSec) team. This role focuses on securing the foundations of OpenAI's research and production environments across GPUs, multi-cloud infrastructure, datacenters, networking, and data access paths for model weights and user data.

You will set technical direction, drive durable security controls, and mentor engineers while partnering with various orgs to raise the security bar at OpenAI scale.

Qualifications

• Experience securing cloud platforms and multi-cloud networks.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional programs to deploy security improvements at scale.
• Mentor engineers and drive security culture through reviews and guidance.
• Lead threat modeling and design reviews for major infra changes.
• Collaborate with partner teams to balance security, reliability, and velocity.
