Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect to define and govern enterprise-wide architecture strategies across a global technology landscape, supporting M&A integration from pre‑LOI to post‑close.

You will partner with Corporate Development, IT offices, and senior executives to drive standards, portfolio rationalization, and scalable integration patterns, with strong focus on security, data governance, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in enterprise or solution architecture roles.
• 4+ years leading technology due diligence and/or integration architecture in M&A environments.
• Proven experience across the full M&A lifecycle: pre‑LOI screening, due diligence, day‑1 readiness, post‑merger integration and stabilization.
• Deep expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks, application portfolio management, integration and migration strategies.
• Strong working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid/distributed integration patterns.
• Data architecture, governance experience, and familiarity with transition service agreements (TSAs).
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity and risk assessment frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC2 as applied to M&A.
• Exceptional executive communication and influence skills, with the ability to present architectural findings and risks to senior and board‑level audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with senior business, technology, and product leaders to drive adoption of standards‑based architectures at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural dimensions of all IQVIA M&A initiatives, serving as senior architectural authority during deal evaluation, pre‑LOI assessments, technology due diligence, integration planning, execution, and post‑close stabilization.
• Define and govern enterprise architecture strategies that enable rapid, scalable M&A integrations, reduce technology risk and complexity, and maximize value realization and synergy targets.
• Lead technology landscape assessments, including current‑state evaluation of infrastructure, applications, and data; identification of gaps, risks, and compliance issues; architectural boundary definition for carve‑outs and divestitures; and design of integration and migration strategies, roadmaps, and target‑state architectures.
• Partner with senior leaders to influence technology investment and integration decisions, communicate architectural risks and opportunities to executive and C‑suite stakeholders, and drive application portfolio rationalization, standardization, and system retirement.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise security, privacy, and compliance standards such as NIST and ISO; act as trusted advisor to Corporate Development, CIO and CISO organizations, and business and technology executives.
