Job summary
Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks a Cloud Computing Engineer Principal (MCCF-Healthcare Systems) to lead Azure cloud design, security, and VEAC implementations for VA environments. Remote position with strict government compliance requirements and 100% US remote eligibility.
Experience across HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST frameworks is essential. The role emphasizes DevOps, IaC, and multi-subscription governance, with a strong focus on secure, scalable, and compliant cloud solutions for healthcare
Qualifications
- Proven Azure design, deployment and management experience.
- High availability and scalable cloud architecture skills.
- Experience with Azure security, RBAC, DDoS, WAF.
- Experience with multi-subscription governance and cost management.
- Strong automation scripting for cloud operations.
Responsibilities
- Create cloud diagrams and high-level architecture diagrams.
- Develop and operate automation for CI/CD pipelines.
- Manage permissions in cloud services for all apps and storage.
- Implement monitoring for cloud architectures and ensure VA policies.
- Provide cloud support for VAEC environments and VIP requirements.
- Adopt DevOps practices and CI/CD tooling.
- Produce cloud security provider documentation.
- Design VAEC/cloud-hosted solutions and close read cloud-readiness gaps.
