Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Cloud Computing Engineer Principal (MCCF-Healthcare Systems) to design, deploy, and operate enterprise Azure infrastructure for VA environments. This remote, full-time role focuses on scalable architecture, automation, and secure cloud practices across multi-subscription setups.

You will implement CI/CD pipelines, manage permissions, monitor cloud health, and ensure HIPAA/FedRAMP alignment while collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring

Qualifications

• Experience designing, deploying, and managing Azure infrastructure and services.
• Experience with large-scale, high-availability cloud architectures.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, FedRAMP, NIST, GDPR, PCI DSS compliance in cloud environments.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash, JS/NodeJS).
• Experience with IaC tools (ARM Templates, Ansible, GitOps).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins.

Responsibilities

• Create data flow and cloud architecture diagrams for cloud infrastructure and systems.
• Develop, deploy, and operate automation for CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage permissions in cloud providers for cloud apps and storage.
• Design and implement monitoring for cloud resources and VAEC environments.
• Provide cloud support and configuration for VA Enterprise Cloud environments.
• Adopt DevOps mindset and CI/CD tooling practices.
• Document cloud security controls and architecture decisions.
• Lead cloud modernization and multi-team collaboration initiatives.
